We cultivate a great future

Vertical farming throws a light on food production and human nutrition, with benefits for plants, people and the Planet.
The architectural and visual concept tells us about a simple idea and intuition: the LED lights, the purplish beams and the graphical turns in colours in the farm lighting are able to transform spaces from simple production areas to real immersive exhibit routes.

Vertical farming allows making all sorts of experiments on crops; this is done by controlling water supply and climate parameters such as temperature, lighting time, humidity, carbon dioxide.

This method allows grafting crops while constantly controlling parameters such as pH and EC (electric conductivity), which guarantees optimum root nutrient uptake.

Crops grow in sterile and aseptic environment, clean from contamination, which ensures production of healthy, 100% natural and residue-free vegetables with far more intense sensory characteristics than traditional produce.

Production

In our vertical farm we grow basil with an innovative and sustainable packaging.

These types of products are mainly addressed to the Ho.re.ca. sector and to the large retail chains. What makes these leaves unique is their concentrated taste: few of them are enough to create a flavourful dish.
Baby plants need optimum pH and EC values for root nutrient take-up.

Vertical farming also increases production eco-sustainability: it reduces water consumption by 95% if compared to conventional agriculture. Moreover, a solar panel system powers up our vertical production with renewable energy.

Vertical growing also results in higher yield than field farming. In fact, when considering the same surface of growing area, vertical farming doubles the yield with shorter harvest times: crops are ready for harvest in 10/12 days with respect to 30/60 days in filed farming.

Sowing

Germination

After sowing, seeds are moved to germination rooms with moisture and temperature control

Growing

This stage lasts 8 to 10 days; seeds uptake water and all nutrients required by the plant such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron. Factors allowing root nutrient uptaking are pH and EC

Harvest or direct packing

The product is picket up and packaged as it is, without cutting it

Storage

It takes place in the cold room and it is followed by wharehousing and delivery to end customers
