Iceberg Lettuce

How to eat: Iceberg Lettuce is very suitable to be eaten as a simple salad as a side-dish with meat or fish, mixed to other vegetables.

With salad dressed or with extra-virgin olive, Iceberg salad tastes fresh and delicate. It's crispy taste attenuates the strong flavour of the most elaborated dishes.

Essential ingredient very suitable to eat with tomatoes, cold cuts and mozzarella. Iceberg salad is cultivated in our farm according to traditional growing systems which we have been using for over 120 years.

We respect all the productive chain from the choice of varieties, throughout growing, harvesting and finally packaging to let our consumer know all the productive steps in which our products are involved. Therefore our Iceberg salad is an easy meal guaranteed by the quality and the experience of Rago farm.

 

Rago Iceberg lettuce in bag

Fresh cut in the morning, washed and placed in MAP (Modified Air Packaging) and shipped the same day. Most bagged salads are much fresher than the whole head products you will find in a supermarket. This iceberg salad is grown in tunnels to give us better control over the environment. The product is safer, cleaner and softer than product grown outside.

INDICATION OF PRESERVATION

After the opening of the packaging, remove excess air, fold the bag and close it with a scotch tape or a rubber band and put it in the refrigerator. Once opened, it’s recommended to consume the product within 24 hours.
