In cultivated form it has a low growing rosette of succulent green rounded leaves when young, when they are picked whole, washed of grit and eaten with oil and vinegar. When it bolts to seed it shows clusters of small white flowers.

Etty's seed catalogue states Corn salad (Verte de Cambrai) was in use by 1810

The name valerian derives from Latin and means good health.
lt is one of the best natura! tranquilizers. Very usefull in the
treatment of disintoxication by smoke, it develops a positive action in
case of neuro-anxious states and is an excellent sedative in the situations
of nervousness and excitement.
Very usefull against the insonnia, bowel cramps of nervous origin,
anguish and concentration difficulties.

After the opening of the packaging, remove excess air, fold the bag and close it with a scotch tape or a rubber band and put it in the refrigerator.
After the opening of the basket, it’s recommended to put the remaining product in a bag fitted for food and put it in the refrigerator.
Once opened, it’s recommended to consume the product within 24 hours.
